Parks of 6-day midrange ndutu migration safari in calvin season
On this 6-day midrange safari we will cover the 4 most popular destinations in Tanzania – Ndutu (2 nights), Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire & Manyara. With our experienced driver guides, it will be a trip of a lifetime! According to the last few years pattern, the possibility of sighting the migration is in the Ndutu region from last week of December to March. Hence, this tour is recommended for the tour date between last week of December and beginning of April. You will sleep in midrange hotels or lodges.
Upon arrival at the airport (Kilimanjaro or Arusha) you will be met by Safari Africa United’s representative and drive you to your accommodation in Arusha for overnight stay waiting for your adventures to start on the following day.

Early morning after breakfast at around 8:00am, you will have a short briefing before you depart to Tarangire National Park. The park with its endless tree savannah including the impressive baobab trees and seasonal marshes is also home to the largest population of elephants in northern Tanzania. You are also likely to spot giraffes, buffaloes, lions, zebras, gnus and other types of antelopes and gazelles. Your guide will open the roof of the vehicle for excellent wildlife viewing. Hot Lunch will be served at around 12:30pm at the picnic site and after that you will continue to explore this incredible park.
In the evening after exploration, you will drive straight to your accommodation in Karatu area for dinner and overnight stay.
| Destination: | Tarangire National Park |
| Accommodation: | Farm of Dream Lodge – Karatu (or similar) |
| Meal plan: | Full Board (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) |
Your safari will begin by 8AM in the morning with a pick up from your hotel in Karatu and head towards the Ndutu region. A few minutes commencing the drive, you will enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) where you will notice the landscape changing from hilly forests to plain and green grasslands. Once you reach Ndutu you will begin a half day game drive with a convenient stop for your picnic lunch. Sweeping grasslands cover the region which gradually fade into the Serengeti. Ndutu forms a part of the route for the annual migration of more than 2 million wildebeests and thousands of zebra, antelope and gazelle. During game drives at the right season between December and April, you will be able to see the fertile plains turn into calving grounds and nursery for the great migration. This season attracts hordes of predators prying on vulnerable young wildebeest.
After game viewing, you will now head towards your choice of accommodation, where a freshly prepared dinner awaits you.
| Destination: | South Serengeti National Park / Ndutu |
| Accommodation: | Baobab Serengeti Camp (or similar) |
| Meal: | Full Board (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) |
Stunned by the previous day’s spotting of the migration, today you get another chance to view the beautiful wildlife spectacle. The Ndutu region is a part of the glorious Serengeti National Park as well as the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA). You can either have a relaxed breakfast and depart for full day game drives around 9:00 AM with packed lunch and return back to lodge late afternoon around 6:00 PM. Today you will be following the migration depending on its location. During game drives at the right season between December and April, you will be able to see the fertile plains turn into calving grounds and nursery for the great migration. This season attracts hordes of predators preying on vulnerable young wildebeest.
The action-packed game drive will end late in the evening by around 5PM. You will now head towards your choice of accommodation, where a freshly prepared dinner awaits you. Ensure you get some good rest and recharge yourself for another eventful day.

Early morning after breakfast at your accommodation, you will drive straight to Ngorongoro conservation area whereby you stop at the view point of Ngorongoro crater before you descend down the crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera forming a spectacular bowl of about 265 square kilometres, with sides up to 600 metres deep and is home to approximately 30,000 mammals.
The crater offers a breathtakingly beautiful scenery and is the best place in East Africa to see the ‘Big Five’ (elephant, rhinoceros, buffalo, lion and rarely leopard). Any safari in northern Tanzania should ideally include a visit to the Ngorongoro Crater.
The Ngorongoro Crater offers excellent birding, with over 500 species. You will have packed picnic lunch boxes with you and after having lunch at the picnic site, you will proceed with game drive until the late afternoon where you will ascend the crater and drive straight to your lodgings in Karatu for overnight stay.

More than 500 species are present in Lake Manyara, and even for a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these species in a single day. Inland of the floodplain, a narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favored haunt of Manyara’s legendary tree-climbing lions and impressively tusked elephants. Other animals that can be found here are giraffes, Zebras, hyenas, Buffalo, Hippo, elephants and wildebeests.
Lunch will be served inside the park and after further exploration of the park you will return to Arusha. Those who wish to combine this safari with a trip to Zanzibar can take a flight from the local Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport.

Mención especial a nuestro guia Zubery!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Safari Experience with Safaris Africa United We spent three absolutely amazing days on safari with Safaris Africa United and the experience exceeded all our expectations. From the very first moment until the end of our trip, everything was exceptionally well organized and carried out with the highest level of professionalism. Our journey began at the airport, where we were picked up upon arrival. Despite our flight being delayed, the team patiently waited for us without any issues at all. This immediately gave us a sense of confidence and made a very positive first impression. Before heading to our hotel, we were taken to a lovely, modern restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious meal with a European touch, exactly what we needed after a long journey. Afterward, we embarked on the drive to our hotel. Although we arrived late in the evening, we received a warm welcome from the friendly staff, who had waited for us and even served us dinner despite the late hour. The hotel exceeded our expectations, offering fantastic rooms, a high standard of comfort, and a very pleasant atmosphere. We slept wonderfully and woke up refreshed and excited for our safari adventure. On our very first day, we were incredibly lucky. In the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, we saw an impressive variety of wildlife, including a rhinoceros, lions, zebras, elephants, hippos, hyenas, monkeys, gazelles, wildebeest, buffaloes, and many more animals. Experiencing these incredible creatures in their natural habitat was truly magical. The adventure continued the next day in Tarangire National Park, where we saw lions, zebras, giraffes, monkeys, elephants, and many other animals. The scenery was breathtaking, and every moment brought a new and exciting experience. A huge part of what made this trip so successful was our guide, Laurien. He was knowledgeable, passionate, professional, and incredibly friendly, making the safari both educational and entertaining. A special thank you also goes to Cornelius, who, together with Laurien, ensured that everything ran perfectly and consistently went above and beyond to make our trip truly memorable. I have the highest recommendations for SafariAfricaUnited who arranged a 5-6 day midrange safari trip into Serengeti, Tarangire and Ngorongoro. Despite being a small operator Cornelius and his team proved very competent and flexible serving us a wonderful wilderness experience. We were two families traveling with adult children having two jeeps and two great drivers/guides.
